Ghanaian artiste, Shatta Wale nabbed two awards at the 2019 International Reggae and World Music Awards [IRWMA].
Wale won ‘Afrobeats of the Year’ and ‘Best Music Video’ for his song ‘Gringo.’
The organizers of the scheme honoured the artiste in 2018 for his “outstanding contributions to Reggae in the motherland and at the global level.”
It was held on Sunday, May 12 in Jamaica.
Established in 1982, the awards scheme acknowledges and honours “the accomplishments and contributions of reggae and world music artists, including songwriters, performers, promoters and musicians.”
