Executive Chairman of the State Enterprise Commission (SEC), Mr. Stephen Asamoah Boateng, has sued musician and self-styled anti-corruption campaigner, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus for defamation at the Accra High Court.

Mr. Asamoah Boateng is praying the court for a perpetual injunction restraining A Plus, his servants or agents from publishing libelous words against him.

Asabee is also seeking a court order to be directed at A Plus to publish on three conservative occasions, on the same platform he published the defamatory words, an unqualified retraction, and an apology, with the same prominence as given to the issuance of the defamatory words.

Barely a fortnight ago, Mr. Asamoah Boateng through his lawyers demanded an unqualified apology from the musician following the alleged “malicious and unsubstantiated” comments made against him following the government appointee’s decision to claim a parcel of land he says he[Asamoah Boateng] has no title to.

But A Plus insisted he won’t apologize and dared Asabee to drag him to court.

“I’ve made such serious allegations against you and instead of suing me to save your image and credibility if any, you are there asking for an apology. If you are not guilty, will you do this? …I’ll just wait for him to sue me. Apology di? borga forgeti!!!” A Plus wrote on his Facebook Wall.
