At least four persons arrested in connection with the killing of the Police woman in Tamale will be arraigned later today.

The Police in Northern region rounded up the suspects in a swoop last Friday at the Aboabo forest in Tamale. They are believed to be behind the Tamale-Kumbungu highway shooting incident at a checkpoint at Starr Oil filling station at Malshegu near Tamale, which led to the killing of Corporal Agartha Nabin.

Public Relations officer of the Northern Regional Police Command, DSP Yussif Tanko said if the condition of the suspect hospitalised is stable he would join the others for court today.

The ringleader sustained gunshot wound after an attempt to open fire at the Police team. He is currently on admission at a hospital.

The crack Police investigation team retrieved the two stolen weapons, the camouflage military uniform and mask they wore for the operation from the room of one of the suspects.

A deep throat source indicates that some of the suspects arrested were part of some young men who issued death threat to the deceased Policewoman who was a Court Warrant Officer(CWO) after she denied them access to their friend in Police cells some weeks ago.
