The management of the Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) says the relocation of the Karpower Barge from Tema to Sekondi in the Western region will not affect power supply in the country.

A statement from the PR Department of GRIDCo said: “There is adequate generating capacity to meet power demand during the period that the Barge will be temporarily disconnected from the national grid” following the imminent relocation of the Karpower barge.

GRIDCo in its statement noted it will keep stakeholders updated on the power supply situation as and when it is necessary.
