A woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing at Ecobank branch in Adum, Kumasi in August.
Sources say the lady in question is a customer of the bank who has been doing business for a while. The bank recently noticed a series of unusual transfers/transactions on the lady’s account.
They finally suspected some dodgy deals. She came to make a withdrawal and the bank authorities invited her for some interrogation.
She was accosted to the upper room to wait whiles the bank and security staff were locked in a short meeting.
The lady sensing that her “cover had been blown” tried to escape through the window. She was arrested and taken to the police station.
A Twitter user posted a video of the lady who was seen jumping from the window, running towards the gate to escape being arrested but fell in the process and was nabbed by the security men.
