The Adwen-Bu District Women’s Ministry of the Church of Pentecost has launched the Virtuous Ladies wing of the ministry.

The new branch spearheaded by the executive of the Women’s Ministry will be responsible for training and instiling core values of the women in the young ladies.

It also carries out evangelism, counselling and other activities worthwhile to contribute to the church’s 5-year strategic vision of possessing nations by transforming every worldview, thought and behaviour with values, principles and lifestyles of the Kingdom of God and thereby turning many people to Christ.

Present at the inauguration service which took place on October 11, 2019, were District Minister, Pastor William Ofori-Attah and wife Mrs Diana Ofori-Attah, Mrs. Rachael Ladejo, District Women’s Ministry Executive, Maame Akua Austin of Adom Tv/Asempa fm, among others.

The District Pastor’s wife, Mrs Diana Ofori-Attah, in a brief word of exhortation reading from the book of Proverbs 31. She advised members of the Virtuous Ladies wing to live an exemplary life that others can emulate in society.

She also tasked them to ‘Stand for Christ’ as their slogan depicts and not lose sight of their main objective as Christian ladies.

Making reference to Abigail’s character as captured in 1 Samuel 25, Mrs Ofori-Attah urged the young ladies not to wallow in self-pity and defeat over their circumstances but rather act courageously and used great wisdom when faced with a threatening scenario.

“As a virtuous lady don’t let fear hold you back – move forward in God’s courage and wisdom.

“No matter how difficult or threatening the situation, God’s power within us is greater than we can ever fully see or comprehend. He is able to use any of us, even those who feel insignificant or powerless, for His greater goodBe humble and kind, seek peace with those around you,” she added.

Launching the Virtuous Ladies wing, the District Pastor prayed for the elected Executive members of the Club and charged them to be hardworking in all their endeavours.

He advised the Executive to be like an aroma to be able to equip the Church to transform every sphere of society with values and principles of the Kingdom of God.

Pastor Ofori-Attah spelt out the vision of the Virtuous Ladies, which includes spiritual and physical training of young ladies in the church to prepare them for life, marriage and developing their talents.

She emphasized that young ladies are the future of the Church. Members of the Virtuous Ladies are ladies whose ages fall within the age range of 13 and 35 years.

The guest speaker, Maame Akua Austin, a Media Personality with Adom Tv/Asempa Fm, in her speech stated three main points that make a Virtuous Lady unique among her peers and those she lives within the society.

She said, dressing modesty, good communication and living at peace with everyone can make a Virtuous Lady stands out.

Ms Austin urged them to live exemplary lives and impact others through their modest, decent and godly dressing.

The launch was climaxed with the cutting of the cake, popping of champagnes, a poetry recital by Ms Patricia Owusu and an epic and first ministration by the Virtuous Ladies Choir.

The Adwen-Bu District Executive members include; Deaconess Eunice Arthur-President, Deaconess Sally Afua Acquah-Vice President, Ms Gifty Armah as Secretary, Ms Doreen Obeng-Financial Secretary, Mrs. Mary Essel-Treasurer, Mrs. Lydia Arkoh-Organizer, Ms Rosemond A. Nutifafa-Counselor amongst others.
