Director of Political Affairs at the Office of the Chief of Staff, Frank Asiedu Bekoe has urged tertiary students under the New Patriotic Party’s school wing to work hard in ensuring that the party stays in power in 2020.

He told the students to start what he termed, ‘campaign without boarders’, entreating them to use every way possible to spread the NPP’s message to electorates on campus and outside campus.

“Let’s start the door to door campaign by visiting people in their rooms, kitchen etc. Our campaign is what we call, campaign without boarders”, he said.

He further advised the students not to leave the campaign only to the President and top party officials; charging them to go all out to campaign and collaborate with colleagues on other campuses.

Mr. Asiedu Bekoe was speaking at the handing over ceremony of TESCON at the University of Professional Studies in Accra.Mr. Frank Asiedu Bekoe with the Vice Chancellor of the UPSA, Prof. Okoe Abednego Feehi Amartey and the newly sworn in TESCON executives of the UPSA

He promised the students that the party had put in place measures to reward outstanding TESCON members who contribute and told them to debunk speculations that the NPP does not reward its supporters when they come to power.

He stated emphatically that the assertion was false and using himself as an example, told the students how he rose through the ranks of the party after he left the University of Ghana where he was the organizer for TESCON in 2004, to his current position at the presidency.

“It is not true that the NPP does not reward its supporters. I am a clear proof of this because I joined the party when I knew no one.

Mr. Asiedu Bekoe said the current unemployment rate is high because of some wrong choices made by the erstwhile administration.

According to him, the NDC left a deep hole which is now being fixed by the NPP.

He explained that under the previous administration, very few graduates were employed leaving a significant number of graduates unemployed a situation he said the NPP government is currently working hard to fix.

“John Mahama left us with a deep hole. Every year, Over 200,000 students completed and all these students were left unemployed. That is the ‘hole’ that President Akufo Addo has been left to fill”, he said

He charged the students to work hard stating that the party was creating opportunities that each member will benefit from in the future.
