There was no show at the case in which Nana Appiah Mensah affectionately called NAM1, the embattled CEO of Menzgold, together with three others are standing trial for various offenses.

In court on Wednesday, when the case was called, Superintendent George Amega who held brief for the prosecution said substantive prosecutor ASP Sylvester Asare is out of the jurisdiction.

He added that, he has however written formerly to inform the court and therefore pray for an adjournment.

The defence team represented today by Benedicta  Twum said she was informed about the said letter but yet to see a copy.

The Accra Circuit Court presided over by Her Honour Mrs Harriet Akweley Quaye said the court has been served with a copy.

Kasapa News Court Correspondent Muntalla Inusah who was in court reported that NAM1 was present in court.

The case has been adjourned to November 20, 2019.

At the last court sitting on September 3, prosecution led by ASP Asare informed the court it would amend its earlier charge sheet.

NAM1 was earlier slapped with 13 charges but is expected to face 48 additional charges in the said amended charge sheet yet to be moved.

Details of the 48 new charges are yet to be disclosed.
