The Koforidua District Police Command has arrested a woman for scalding co-tenant with hot water.
The suspect -Augusto Akorli, was put before Koforidua Circuit Court “A” on Tuesday October 22, 2019 and was granted bail however she has not been able to meet the bail condition hence still in Police Custody.
Kasapa News has gathered, on October 20,2019 the victim Rejoice Ahorlu, a resident of Koforidua -Anlo Town rushed to the Police Station with burns all over her body to report that the suspect poured hot water on her at about 9am.
Police issued medical forms to her for treatment and has since been on admission at the Eastern Regional Hospital, Koforidua.
Whilst Police prepared to arrest the suspect, she suddenly popped up at the Police Station to report herself to the Police. She was immediately arrested by to assist investigation.
During interrogation, the suspect told Police, the victim and her Children physically attacked her, therefore, poured the hot water in self-defense.
