The National Women’s Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Madam Kate Abena Gyamfua says her NPP party likes to spend money to get something monumental that will benefit the larger society, rather than splashing money and giving it to people directly.

She told Kasapa 102.5 FM that the NPP, unlike the NDC is committed to protecting state resources and work feverishly to improve the economy that the NDC government left behind whiles providing better living conditions for Ghanaians.

“I know my people; they will not give money away like that, rather we’ll use it for something big that will benefit the masses. That’s how we’ve been handling things from time immemorial. It’s really difficult sometimes because at some point in time the people may expect monies to be given to them, but the NPP government will not share state resources in that manner.” She told host Kweku Owusu Adjei on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM.

Nonetheless, she said the Ghanaian economy is growing at a faster pace now after the NPP government for the past three years spent time and efforts to lay the foundation and improve the economic malaise that the NDC under former President John Mahama left behind.

She said:” Ghanaians should exercise patience because we have fixed the economy and certainly money will flow next year and beyond.”

Madam Kate Gyamfua noted that their rivals, the NDC has nothing good to offer the country, calling on Ghanaians to keep the NDC in perpetual opposition.

She thus cautioned against complacency saying “We must work hard to retain power for the party come 2020”.

Consequently, the National Women’s Organiser urged the rank and file of the party to remain resolute and continue to propagate the gospel of government’s achievements to Ghanaians.
