A 40 -year -old man Sampson Bortey is battling for his life after a suspected land guard from Fetteh Kakraba stabbed him in his scrotum at Gomoa Mafam near Buduburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.

The victim is said to have gone to the bush to watch over a land that has been entrusted in his care by its owner to protect.

Reports say out of the blue, over 17 suspected land guards stormed the bush, pounced on the victim and started beating the victim mercilessly.

In the process, one of the suspects stabbed the victim’s scrotum leaving a deep cut on his ‘priced asset’.

In an interview with Kasapa FM News Yaw Boagyan, brother of the victim Kweku Dorlah said, his brother who was bleeding was shockingly detained at Awutu Bereku Police station for some time and was later granted bail.

Residents of Gomoa Fetteh, Fetteh Kakraba and their adjoining communities in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region have over the years been living following attacks by land-guard who are sometimes heavily armed and fire gunshots to scare residents.

They terrorize some innocent landowners and developers in these communities on the blindside of police officers.

The residents are calling on the IPG James Oppong Boanuh to get his men to up their game and arrest land guards to enable law-abiding citizens to go about their duties safely and in peace.
