The Chairman of the organising Committee for Gold Fields PGA Golf Championships Mr. Hans De Beer, has said it will be a dream come true if Ghana’s top professional golfers namely Vincent Torgah, Kojo Barnni and Amos Korblah, are able to play at the international level such as the British Open, US, Augusta Open and PGA tour.

Speaking at the 6th Gold Fields PGA Championship opening ceremony at Damang, in the Western Region on Wednesday morning Hans De Beer, who is also the Vice President of Gold Fields, in charge of Project and Engineering hinted that financial constraints have retarded most of our professional Golfers to perform to the highest level but as corporate Organization which wants to give back to the society they will do their best to push the professionals to the four major.

“It will be a great pleasure if our Pros play at the top level although financial difficulties seem to be the barrier but as a corporate entity that wants to give back to the society, we will do our best to put them on the globe. Many golfers are not able to survive all because there is a lack of corporate sponsorship which is very sad,” Hans De Beer said.

Kojo Barnni ranked Ghana’s number one now, Vincent Torgah and Amos Korblah are Golfers who have seen it all on the African soil but finding it very difficult to break through into the other regions of the world.
