The Appointments Committee of Parliament is scheduled to begin vetting of three new Supreme Court justice nominees later today, Monday.

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo last month appointed the three Judges to the Supreme Court subject to the approval of Parliament.

The nominees were elevated from the Court of Appeal.

The three who’ll face the appointment committee later today includes Justice Mariama Owusu, Justice Lovelace Johnson and Justice Gertrude Tokornoo.

All things being equal, the nominees after the successful completion of the vetting process will replace three justices, namely, Justice Vida Akoto-Bamfo, Justice Sophia Adinyira and Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo who are due for retirement by the end of the year.
