Cindy Thompson has commented on technology and the effect it is having on the Gospel industry.
Sharing her views on why she thinks technology advancement is more of a curse than a blessing, she noted that most gospel artistes end up forgetting their God and their calling.
According to the veteran gospel artiste, technology progress with regards to social media platforms is making ministers of the gospel veer off from their true calling by conforming to societal pressures.
“We live in a setting where everything moves at a certain speed. It is a good thing because unlike in the old days where you had to go round and give your materials out to be played, now you put it online and it’s all over.”
“However, if you do not take care, you will feel you are not doing anything and you might end up forgetting your God and your calling.”
“Let us not forget that we are called to make an impact in this world so with every step you take, you should ask yourself if that is what you are doing.”
“It is important to note that it is okay for someone to be ahead of you in life but if you have God, you can go ahead of the person and that is forever,” she told Graphic Showbiz
Advicing her colleagues Cindy Thompson said, “No matter what you do, wherever you find yourself, do not forget your calling.”
