Telecom giant MTN’s data services is back on stream at full capacity, management has said.

This follows 72hrs complaint by its customers across the country, who experienced challenges with accessing data.

A tweet by the  largest Telecom company said:

MTN in an earlier statement explained that connectivity was interrupted because of a double undersea fibre optic cable cut.

“Connectivity was interrupted over the last two days as a result of a double undersea fibre optic cable cut in Europe which affected six Operators in six West African Countries and beyond. This situation affected our internet services, due specifically to issues with the West Africa Cable System (WACS)”.
