Armed robbers on Monday dawn attacked passengers traveling from Sefwi Juaboso in the Western Region to Kumasi to buy goods for their trading activities.
The robbers according to a victim Maame Joe, first shot the vehicles tyre forcing the driver to stop in the middle of the Bibiani forest around 5:30am where they robbed them at gunpoint of their monies and other personal effects.
The robbers are said to have subsequently fled with the stolen items into the forest.
Fortunately, none of the victims was hurt.
The development compelled the driver to cut short the journey and the passengers returned to Sefwi Juaboso to reorganize themselves for the next trip.
