Chiefs in Suame constituency in the Ashanti region led by Kwaprahene Baffour Adugyemfu Kumani have declared their support for the MP for Suame constituency Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu to be allowed to contest unopposed in the Suame NPP parliamentary primaries.

According to Nana Kwaprahene, Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu ought to be protected for his big role within the elephant family and his achievements, which he described as unprecedented.

The chiefs called on the youth who are campaigning against the MP to hit the brakes on that in the constituency and offer their support wholly to the MP to complete the good projects he has initiated in the constituency.

Queen mother of Breman, Nana Frimpomaa Adjei II also re-echoed the need for suame constituency to give Kyei Mensah Bonsu yet another chance to represent the constituency in parliament.

Meanwhile, one John Darko who is lacing is boot to contest the Suame constituency, a seat held by the majority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu says the party has simply refused to make the forms available.

But Ashanti Regional Secretary Samuel Pyne says the party has isolated some nine constituencies for special attention hence the decision to hold on to the nomination forms.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is billed to hold its parliamentary primaries in areas where it has sitting Members of Parliament (MP) on April 25, 2020.

The NPP has 169 sitting Members of Parliament out of the total 275 seats in the House.
