Son of veteran actress, Grace Omaboe, Kweku has dispelled rumours that his mother is dead.
According to him, the host of popular kids television series ‘By The Fireside’ is alive and very strong.
An online portal on Saturday morning reported that one Kenkey Seller is dead at age 73.
The report indicated that she kicked the bucket on Saturday, February 15, 2020, after a short sickness.
Speaking in an interview with Eddie Ray on Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa 102.5fm yesterday, Kweku, wondered why such report was published about her mom without any verification.
“I would like to state categorically that my mum is very strong and alive. It is rather my dad who died on same day Kobe Bryant died. My mum as I’m speaking is at someone’s one-week remembrance service so it isn’t true that she is no more.” He told Kasapa Entertainment
He indicated that leveraging on a person’s popularity to get readers on your website should not be the norm for some bloggers.
The publication by the website emphatically stated that the woman who died on February 15 is not the popular actress Grace Omaboe aka Maame Dokono but one Patience Naa Ayorkor, a resident of Bukom in Accra who was also known ‘Kenkey Seller’.
Coincidentally, Patience Naa Ayorkor, the Kenkey Seller at Bukom in Accra is the same age as the popular television personality and actress.
