Promising gospel artiste Jemima Annor-Yeboah, known in music fraternity as JAYANA has detailed reasons why she took a breather from the music scene after Stars of the Future reality show in 2006.

Stars of the Future (SOF), a reality show presents young talents with an opportunity to hone their talents and sets them on a path to establishing their music careers.

As one of the best contestants in Stars of the Future Reality Show much was expected from Jayana after the competition but she decided to take a break in music at a point when people expected her to do more.

Speaking with Gospel 2 Me Tv, Jayana disclosed that her long absence from the music scene was as a result of her inexperience in the industry.

After Stars of the Future Reality Show, I released an album called ‘Awurade Ani Wo Me So’ which was produced by one gentleman from my dad’s church and others supported as well.” Jayana disclosed

According to her, after her sterling performance at Stars of the Future reality show, she was fortunate to get an executive producer who produced her first album titled ‘Awurade Ani Wo Me So’.

Detailing her inability to advance in her music career, Jayana revealed she and her team were novices in the industry making her profession take a nosedive.

“I realized that there is a lot of work involved when it comes to industry and music promotion because I had little knowledge about the industry and the people supporting me too had little or no knowledge about the music business. It got to a time they got tired since the promotion involved money.

“I finally decided to go back to school to learn more about music and establish my own business to help me fund my music career.” She added

She finally took a break to learn more about music and set up her personal business to support her music career.

Jayana announced her comeback into the music space with a new banger titled VICTORY.
