The Ghanaian Film Industry is indeed entirely a competitive and compressed domain when it gets to the casting of characters.
It is quite inapt on the part of Ghanaians to perceive how some dedicated Casting Directors made the movie industry grow behind the scenes.
It is mostly uncommon to find Casting Directors in Ghana to be in public eye as Mawuko Kuadzi shoots up as one of the best Casting Directors in the country after assigning roles to actors in over ten [10] movies, Tv series and Tv commercials.
Ghanaian movie ‘Aloe Vera’ is his latest casting work as he auditioned over 20 A-list actors.
Mawuko Kuadzi is the CEO of the MK Casting which is Ghana’s premiere casting firm specializing in casting for films, Television commercials, Television series and music videos.
He is also the Theatre Director of the HOGOF Theatre Academy, a non-profit organisation which aims at advocating education and social change through drama, music and dance.
Procuring a certificate in Film Acting from the Eagle Drama College in 2008.
He worked on FOKN Bois’ Coz Ov Moni-part 1 and later casting associate for Netflix’s original award-winning film BEATS OF NO NATION, directed by EMMY award winner, Cary Joji Fukunaga.
He was also the Casting Director for the popular TV series ‘YOLO’ Season One produced by Farmhouse Production.
Mawuko Kuadzi also auditioned actors for the award-winning film ‘Azali’ which was selected as Ghana’s first entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards but it was not nominated.
