The Greater Accra Regional Director of the National Disaster Management Organisation(NADMO), Evans Arnold Anokwa, has called for collaboration between the media and his office to help educate the public on the management and control of disaster nationwide.

NADMO he said is prepared to deal with disasters, suggesting human behaviour is a major challenge to the work they do.

Mr Anokwa told Kweku Owusu Agyei Frimpong on Si Me So on Kasapa 102.3 FM, that people must also cultivate the habit of reporting persons whose actions pose a danger to society.

A committee he added has been set up to help deal with the issue of building without permit.

“We have set a committee to strictly monitor those who embark on projects without permit, especially on weekends,” the NADMO official disclosed.
