Ghana has insured its health professionals and allied professionals at the frontline of the covid-19 response.
In a letter issued by the Minister for Health, Kwaku Agyemang Manu to all Heads of Agencies under the Health sector and sighted by Kasapafmonline.com said about 10,000 health personnel and allied professionals will benefit from this Special Life Insurance cover.
“Please bring this to the attention of all staff deployed and please ensure the appropriate documentation of the process which is strategic for the next steps” the letter read in part.

Meanwhile, the nation will begin a lockdown in Accra and Kumasi Metropolis on Monday following a spike in cases of the covid-19 pandemic.
The directive will affect Accra, Kumasi, Tema, Kasoa among others, declared by the Ghana Health Service(GHS) as the hotspots of the pandemic in the country.
Meanwhile, essential workers have been exempted from the temporary measures announced by the President as the lockdown takes effect Monday dawn.
