President Akufo-Addo has extended his condolences to the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari following the death of his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.

He died on Friday, April 17, 2020 after contracting the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

The former advisor to the Nigerian President had also reportedly been suffering from diabetes.

President Akudo-Addo in a tweet described Abba Kyari as a dignified and courteous man who will be missed by all.

“I send my deep sympathies and condolences to @MBuhari on the death of Abba Kyari, his chief of staff and trusted aide. The Nigeria people have lost a dignified and courteous public official and he will be missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing him,” President Akufo-Addo wrote.
