The Municipal Chief Executive of Awutu Senya East Assembly, Michael Mensah, has revealed that the Assembly will soon embark on mass testing of all people in the locality, especially, those classified as “highly exposed”, including commercial drivers, market women and journalists among others of coronavirus (COVID-19).
The exercise, he noted, has become necessary following the recording of two positive cases in the locality.

In addition to that, all commercial drivers operating in the locality as well as market women and journalists will be tested of the virus.
“We are going to do a lot of vigorous testing activities. We will soon go to town and test drivers, market women, journalists among others. We are going to do this with the resources at our disposal. We are going to do this to know the status of our people”, he noted.
He urged for calm, stressing that “nobody should fear or panic about the testing they are going to do since it forms part of the measures they are embarking on to prevent the spread of the coronavirus in the Municipality”.
