The 2012 Presidential Candidate of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) Dr Abu Sakara Foster says he is yet to decide whether he’ll put himself up to contest as the Presidential Candidate of the party for the 2016 elections.

According to him, his preoccupation for now is to contribute his energy and resources to seeing the party fully strengthened to take up the reigns of power, adding that the current state of the CPP is weak.

The Convention People Party is yet to hold its National Congress to elect the party’s Presidential Candidate for the 2016 elections which promises to be keenly contested.

The Party last month elected its National Officers led by its new National Chairman Prof. Edmund Delle to rebuild the party and ready itself for the polls.

Speaking to Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM, Dr Abu Abu Sakara Foster who is a Development Agronomist by profession stated that his delay in arriving at a decision to contest for the Flag bearer slot of the CPP is not because he fears competition from the party’s immediate past Chairperson, Samia Nkrumah who has announced her intention to become the Presidential candidate.

“I’m not running away from Samia. If I decide to contest in the election the outcome will be very clear. I’ve been the Vice Presidential Candidate before and the Presidential candidate of this party and my performance is known”.
