Over 300 residents of Ajumako Bisease in the Central Region have defied the social distancing protocol and have demonstrated against the District Assembly for using the Bisease Senior High School as an Isolation Centre for COVID-19 patients.
According to the demonstrators, they will resist any move to bring a COVID 19 patient into their community, lest they are also infected.
In an interview with Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan, the charged residents said the COVID-19 patients can be sent to hotels in the District and not the Bisease Senior High School.
Meanwhile, Ajumako Enyan Essiam District has recorded it’s first COVID 19 positive case with about 26 contracts tracing done so far.
