Young Ghanaian Actor Rahim Banda who is also an Ambassador for government’s flagship programme Free SHS joined Eid the people of Abossey Okai Zongo community to celebrate the Eid-Al-Fitr and donated packs of food to over 300 people.
The actor who went to the Abossey Okai Zongo community with his family and team first paid a visit to the chief of the visually impaired (blind)group Alhaji Abubakari Iddrisu and through him distributed food to over 300 people including the blind.
Rahim Banda and his team later proceeded to the street to and shared food to beggars and cripples.
He used the opportunity to advise everyone to adhere to the social distancing protocols as a result of the novel coronavirus and stay safe.
During the donation, he mentioned that today marks a very important day on the Islamic calendar and it is indeed a very special day to his family and all Muslims.

After fasting for 30 days in the holy month we give thanks to the Almighty Allah that we are here today.
Indeed all hands aren’t equal some of us are privileged enough to enjoy this day and it is only circumstantial that some of us can’t. Gathered here with my entire family and team we have made it a point to share a meal and celebrate this day with the physically challenged We first made a visit to the chief of the blind (Alhaji Abubakari Iddrisu) in Abossey okai Zongo. We then distributed food to over 300 people which include the blind, some beggars on the street as well as cripples.
It’s not easy taking the begging mentality out of some physically challenged individuals but I believe you and I can start educating the young ones the importance of education to stop them begging on the streets
