A non-governmental organisation, Educare Unit Ghana has educated market women and drivers in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District in the Central Region on the deadly coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Public Relations Officer for the Organization Mr. Richard Amos Enos said it seems people still don’t believe that the COVID 19 pandemic exists because market women don’t observe the social distancing protocol and continue to do things the way they’ve always done.

We are also doing our best to make sure that the virus will not spread in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District. So we have also shared 400 face masks to the market women and drivers in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District for them to use to prevent getting the virus.

Some of the beneficiaries in an interview with Kasapa News Yaw Boagyan thanked them for their support and appealed to the District Assembly to provide them with Veronica buckets, hand sanitizers in the markets centers for them to use.
