Several parts of the capital, Accra have been submerged in water following hours of downpour.
Some Residents in worst hit areas like Awoshie, Adabraka, Odorna, Graphic Road, Agbobloshie and surrounding areas have also been displaced after the Monday rains.
Eye witness known as ‘Minister’, who spoke to Kasapa fm said the Mallam junction to Odokor road has become impassable as residents are cut off, while stores and kiosk are also submerged in rain water.
The rains started during the late hours of Monday, June 8, 2020.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMA) has announced another rainstorm is expected to hit parts of the country today, Tuesday, June 9.
It comes after the Monday night heavy rains that caused flooding in some parts of Accra.
In a statement, the GMA said: “A rainstorm observed today Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 0245GMT over Benin is expected to propagate westward into the country this morning to affect most places in the *Northern and Middle sector* with rains and thunder.
“Rainfall and windy conditions of varying intensities are expected over Northeast, Northern, Oti, Bono East, Savannah, Bono, Upper West, Eastern, Volta and Ashanti region”.
