Ghanaian actress and producer Yvonne Nelson has reacted to National Democratic Congress Falgbearer, John Mahama’s running mate for the 2020 general election.

The filmmaker in a post described Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang’s appointment as the running mate of John Dramani Mahama as strategic.

Nelson who expressed excitement about the former Minister of Education’s nomination advised her to put Ghana first in everything and should not be carried away like others.

The mother of one who endorsed the appointment of the former Vice-Chancellor of UCC is optimistic women can deliver and serve the people right.

“Prof, I love this…WOMEN can deliver and serve your people right. We know its strategic, yeaa, we only need leaders who will put GHANAIANS first, do this and don’t be carried away like they all do when they win. All the best!” Yvonne stated in a post

Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang’s selection was announced yesterday by the NDC following approval from the National Executive Committee and the National Council of Elders at a meeting held in Accra on Monday 6, 2020.

Mahama posted on social media, saying: “The @OfficialNDCGh, this afternoon, unanimously, endorsed my nomination of Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang as my Running Mate for the December 2020 election. She is God-fearing, a distinguished scholar, a conscientious public servant & a role model.”
