It has been One Year since Empawa Africa officially commenced business, what started out as a mission to responsibly bridge loopholes in our ecosystem has led today to the premier African Owned & African Focused Label Services Company in the world.
In the process, we have been involved in directly touching over 100 African Creatives in over 17 countries and indirectly over 1000 lives across the continent in the African Entertainment Ecosystem.
In the unique times that we are in, the need for more African Owned and African Focused Platforms cannot be overemphasised and even as we work on building our team, service iteration and most importantly innovating African solutions (of course with global standards), my message is a call to African entertainment stakeholders to “Collaborate or Risk Intellectual Property Slavery”.
As announced here yesterday, we are on course to raise $20 million for investments in African music creatives through the Africa Music Fund led by 88mph, a strong investor in African markets. In addition, emPawa Africa in partnership with Vydia will be launching Cinch Distro, a music distribution platform for new and emerging artists.
With the AMF and Cinch Distro, we are strongly positioned to partner with not just new and emerging African artists but also established independent African artists with an efficient platform and structure.
Special thanks to all the Artists, DJs, Producers, OAPs, Radio & TV Partners, Labels, Tech Providers, DSPs and everyone who has been a part of our Outstanding Success.
Cheers to a greater Year.
– Eazi.
