The President of the Republic, Nana Akuffo Addo has commended the waste management firm, ZoomLion Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of Jospong Group for their immense contribution in the fight against Covid-19.

Speaking at a sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of Sekondi-Takoradi solid and liquid waste treatment facility at Assakae in the Western Region, expressed gratitude to the group for answering a patriotic call to duty since the outbreak of Covid-19 in the country.

“Let me use this occasion formally, on behalf of the government, and on my own behalf to thank the Jospong Group of companies for their valuable contribution to our fight against Covid pandemic” he lauded.

ZoomLion Ghana Limited in partnership with the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Ministry of Sanitation and Water and Natural Resources as part of their effort to fight against the pandemic, disinfected markets and lorry parks, churches, schools and other commercial places across the country.

Zoomlion Ghana Limited is a giant in waste management as well as environmental sanitation business in Ghana and Africa as a whole.

The company was formed under the company’s Act in January 2006. The company which was formed in 2006 as Zoomlion Ghana Limited with a small staff has now grown over the past seven years. It now has a total core staff of 3,000 and manages over 85,000 workers under various forms of Public-Private Partnerships (PPP).
