President Akufo Addo has urged Ghanaians to continue to respect COVID-19 protocols to avoid a second wave of the infections that have hit other countries in the world.
Speaking on Sunday night during his 18th address to the nation since Ghana first recorded the virus, he emphasized the need to continue wearing the face mask, ensuring strict hygiene and social distancing protocols that have become part of our daily routine.
“This is the surest way by which we can defeat the virus and avoid a second wave of infections. The outlook of our battle against COVID-19 remains optimistic for which we thank God and you the Ghanaians people. It is important that we maintain this positive position especially with the few weeks to the holding of the December 7 Presidential and Parliamentary elections,” President Akufo Addo stated.
Ghana currently has 382 active cases out of 47,310 confirmed cases. There have been 46, 618 recoveries/discharges and 310 deaths.
