A total of 24 business entities have received awards at the 10th Ghana-Africa Business Awards in Accra, for their positive contributions towards national development.

They received platinum, gold and silver awards.
In all, six of them received platinum, 11 had gold, and seven were presented with silver awards.

The commemorative platinum award winners included Decorplast Limited, Ecobank Ghana Limited, E-Process International SA, Fiesta Royale Hotel, Millionaires Casino and Unilever Ghana Limited.

The gold award winning companies were Allship Logistics Limited, Azar Chemical Industries Limited, Burger Food Industries, Comet Ghana Limited and Gold Recovery Ghana Limited.

The rest were Grofin Africa Finance, Lewadis Limited, Olam Ghana Limited, South African Airways, Sterling International Limited and W-Store (Ghana) Proprietary Limited (trading as Woolworths).

Aluworks Limited, BBC Industrials Company Ghana Limited, International Packaging Ghana Limited, Kenya Airways, Miniplast Limited, Qualiplast Limited and Wilmar Africa Limited, were the seven silver award winning companies.

The awards were grouped into seven categories, namely, International Trade, Free Zone Operations, Tourism Promotion, Investment Promotion, Financial Services, Trade Facilitation and Gaming.

Emmanuel Kwasi Bandua, Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, congratulated the award winners for their hard work, zeal and commitment.

Mr. Bandua reminded business organisations of the need to co-operate, and make good use of comparative advantage in their operations.

Nii Dr. Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III, La Mantse, was among dignitaries who graced the occasion.

The awards ceremony was organised by Top Brass Ghana, under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
