The Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Benjamin Komla Kpodo has commissioned and handed over a newly built CHPS compound to the Chiefs and people of Ho-Heve on Friday, 6th November, 2020.
The facility which cost a total of Gh¢347,000 was funded by the MP through the MP’s Health Fund.
The new facility has a labour/delivery ward, dispensary, consultancy and other ancillary facilities such as washrooms and a store.
The facility is expected to offer basic health care services to residents in Wortoe and Amanuve in the Bosontoe electoral area.
Speaking at a short ceremony yesterday, the MP noted that his mandate as the people’s representative is to continue to ensure the development his constituency, a task he has performed significantly well in the past eight years.
He said, “My mandate as your MP is to pursue an agenda aimed at the development of the constituency and that is exactly what I have done since you made me your MP in the past 8-years. With this new facility, I believe the challenges you face when seeking healthcare would be a thing of the past; you don’t have to go to Municipal or Trafalgar to access healthcare.”
“Today, my party is in opposition but I’m confident you’ll vote and bring back the NDC and our flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama into office on 7th December, so we can continue with the many abandoned roads, hospital facilities and school infrastructure projects across the country.”
Currently, four nurses who have been posted to the area are operating from an apartment provided by a resident but with the commissioning of the new facility, they are expected to move in by Monday, 9th November, 2020.
Benjamin Komla Kpodo has who is seeking a third term in Parliament has represented the people of Ho Central since 2012.
