A man believed to be a Latvian, and in his fifties met his untimely death when he was knocked down and killed by a Kia Reno vehicle with registration number UW 37-12 at Achimota new overhead Friday.
The deceased known only as Tony was said to have crossed the path of the Kia Reno, which was coming from circle towards Ofankor.
An eyewitness, named Kwame Fosu, in an interview said he suspected the white man was drunk.
The incident resulted in a temporal traffic jam on the Achimota-Nsawam road. The police later dealt with it.
Meanwhile the body of the has been deposited at the Achimota Hospital, while the driver is currently at the Tesano Police station assisting in investigations.
