Award-winning actress, Akofa Edjeani has been honoured with Golden Movie Awards Walk Of Fame.

The veteran actress on 19th December 2020 received a citation of honour at the 6th edition of the Golden Movie Awards, which was held at the Fantasy Dome, Trade Fair-Accra.

Akofa Edjeani who is under the management of MK content has been critically acclaimed as Ghana’s ace actress. A graduate of the School of Performing Arts, University of Ghana, Legon where she studied Theatre Arts (Drama). She is a multi-award-winning actress and holds a certificate in PR, Marketing and advertising from the Ghana Institute of Journalism(1995) and has been acting for over two (2) decades.

Akofa is also a producer as well as the proprietress of “Fali’sHotPot”, an eatery at Kanda, Accra. “I Sing of  AWell”, the movie she starred in and produced as well, won 3 awards and the Best Jury Award from AMAA in 2010 and also an award from BATFA at the Pan African Film Festivals in Los Angeles.

Akofa is set to take Ghanaian Film production and acting to another level as she seeks to project African culture and excellence to the international world and to bridge the gap between culture and development.

The Golden Movie Awards is an annual award that seeks to honor outstanding achievement in the African television, digital media, and film industry and is administered by experts in Cinema & Television.

The Awards recognizes film Excellence in a variety of categories to make African films attractive enough for an international appeal.
