Eleven babies were born on Christmas day at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, according to the hospital authorities.

The babies were four boys and seven girls and were all born through normal birth without complications.

The Midwife of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, Madam Nancy Nualey disclosed that both mothers and babies will be released to their various homes by Monday 28th December.

Speaking to Kasapa FM news Yaw Boagyan, Madam Nancy advised the parents to give the babies extra care and attention when they leave the hospital for home.

She also advised the husbands to have enough time for their babies and show love to them and their wives.

Most a times women who gave birth need more attention from their husband, so I am appealing to all the Ghanaian Husbands whose wives have given birth during this Christmas season to spend time with their wives and help them in the Kitchen as well. I will be happy if husbands will even support their wives to bathe their newly born baby at home.

“I was happy when many husbands came to the hospital here to witness their wives in labour ward, that’s what I am expecting every Husband to do, doing that will make their wives give birth easy without facing any challenges,” she added.
