The Ghana Medical Association(GMA) has called on government to make earnest efforts to fast-track the process of securing covid-19 vaccines for the country before Ghana’s situation soars.
Also, the GMA wants adequate public education on the vaccines before its arrival, approval, and administration in Ghana.
This was contained in a Press Statement issued by the Association on Thursday, in relation to the covid-19 pandemic and the national response.
Meanwhile, the GMA has asked the public to disregard the various conspiracy theories making the rounds in the media.
RE-OPENING OF SCHOOLS
The GMA in its statement also urged the Government and Managers of Schools (Public and Private) at all levels to ensure that there is adequate education and strict adherence to all COVID-19 preventive protocols.
“Adherence to all strategies for early detection, isolation and treatment of any potential COVID-19 case (s) in the schools is very critical in preventing spread of the disease among pupils, students and staff.”
