The Appointments Committee of Parliament is today, February 18, 2021, scheduled to continue its vetting of nominees for ministerial roles in Akufo-Addo’s second term of office.

Minister-designate for Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah and the Minister-designate for Fisheries and Aquaculture are billed to face the committee in their vetting.

All things being equal, the nominee headed for Information Ministry will not be new in the office, as he managed the same portfolio until the end of the first term of Akufo-Addo’s administration.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah is hoping to be approved by Parliament as the Minister for Information while Hawa Koomson is hoping to be approved as the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture.

His other colleague, Mavis Hawa Koomson also served as Minister of Special Development Initiatives, one of the many new ministries created in President Akufo-Addo’s first term.
