Suspended National Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Paul Afoko on Friday was unsuccessful in stopping a meeting by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) that took a decision to suspend him indefinitely.
The NEC in a unanimous a decision suspended him after the NPP Council of Elders petitioned the Disciplinary committee, asking them to ensure Mr Afoko steps aside for secretly plotting against the interest of the party.
The beleaguered Chairman tried restraining the meeting but the injunction came late at a time the NEC had already concluded its meeting and taken a decision on Mr Afoko.
