Two filling station attendants are in critical condition after armed robbers attacked them at Gomoa Ojobi in the Gomoa East District of the Central Regio Thursday around 12:30am.

The victims – Micheal Entsie a 21-year-old man and Siita Jibril, 30 years. work at Siigo Filling Station between, Gomoa Ojobi and Gomoa Anapansu.

They told EIB Network Central Regional Correspondent Yaw Boagyan in an interview that they where in their room when the robbers came knocking on their door, and thinking it was one of their bosses, they opened the door only to find the robbers who demanded monies from them.

The robbers then started giving warning shots one of which hit the victims and injured them.

The masked robbers are said to have bolted with an undisclosed amount of money and mobile phones.

A Police Patrol Team proceeded to the scene but the robbers had fled before their arrival.

The victims were rushed to the Hope Christian Hospital at Gomoa Fetteh where they are receiving treatment.

Police have commenced investigation into the incident.
