Dutch-born Edwin Gyasi has said Chelsea Star Callum Hudson-Odoi must listen to his heart on his nationality switch.
The former CSKA Sofia winger stated that Hudson Odoi must not bow to pressure and take any hasty decision but rather listen to his conscience at this critical moment of his international career.
“I will advise him (Hudson-Odoi) to follow his heart rather than bowing to public pressure at this critical moment in his career” Gyasi told Dwidwamu Sports Night show host Adam Adjei on Kasapa FM and Agoo TV.
Gyasi’s advice comes at a time when some ex Black Stars players have cautioned the Chelsea FC attacker against playing for Ghana.
It will be recalled that both Charles Taylor and Sam Johnson in separate interviews kicked against the idea of the Champions League winner ditching England to play for Ghana with the reason being that he will be better off playing for England.
According to them choosing Ghana will be disastrous to his career if what has happened to his predecessors who took a similar route is taken into consideration.
The 20-year old represented England at both the under 16 and 19 level and is eligible to switch nationality since he has not made any appearance for the senior team, The Three Lions.
