The Member of Parliament for the Sissala West Hon. Mohammed Adams Sukparu has taken a bold step to aid students in his Constituency to study Sissali and Dagaare in the University.

Bachelor of Arts in Sissali was recently introduced at the University of Education, Winneba after many years of circuitous and tortious advocacy.

The lawmaker announced this in a statement on Monday and urged prospective students to take advantage of the opportunity to study Sissali or Dagaare as a course at the University of Education, Winneba, for the 2021/2022 academic year.

According to Mr. Sukparu, the move was part of his quest to develop the human resource capacity and also to encourage more students to study Sissali and Dagaare in the area.

The MP is therefore calling on Chiefs, parents, and other opinion leaders to encourage potential applicants to choose Bachelor of Arts in Sissali or Dagaare Education to help
realize their full potentials.

The President of the Sissala Youth Forum Mr. Yusif Napuna in a post also encouraged the Sissala Youth to pursue the programme to further enrich the Sissala culture in the international echelons.

He also observed that academically, teachers, excellent learners and achievers shall emerge in this field of study to enhance Sissali literacy in the country.
