Accra Hearts of Oak SC beat Tarkwa-based Medeama SC 3:0 on Sunday night in the MTN FA Cup semi-final at the Cape Coast stadium to book a place in the final of the competition.

The Rainbow Boys will play against Obuasi Ashantigold SC come next Sunday.

Hearts got the opener through Midfielder Benjamin Afutu who headed the ball into the net from a cross by striker Isaac Mensah on the 12th minute.

The Continental Club Masters got their second goal in the second half after Medeama goalkeeper Frank Boateng on the 58th minute made a blunder allowing striker Isaac Mensah to play the ball into the yawning net.

In the 68th minute, the Medeama keeper made another mistake after he grabbed the leg of striker Afriyie Barnie in the box causing a penalty.

Barnie’s penalty kick was first saved by the Medeama goalkeeper but the referee directed a retake as Boateng had completely stepped off the goal line before the kick was taken.

In the retake, Barnie sent the keeper in the wrong direction for the third goal.
