The Church of Pentecost at Sepe has alleviated the plights of several residents after constructing a footbridge connecting Moshie Zongo to Sepe – Buokrom in the Kumasi Metropolis.

The area in the past few years claimed the lives of several people including children who were trying to cross floodwaters to their homes after school.

According to the Church, it was part of their Godly responsibilities to support communities in saving the lives of human beings.

Mr. Francis Appiah Osei, an Elder at the Church expressed that they are very happy after putting smiles on the faces of people by helping them solve an important problem.

He advised the residents to put the facility to good use by avoiding activities that will destroy the bridge immediately.

The aim of the construction was also to help members from the area attend church service on time.

Residents say the pathway was a death trap to both adults and children after every downpour.

They, however, thanked the Pentecost Church for the gesture and appealed to other churches and NGOs to follow suit in supporting communities during difficult times.
