The newly appointed special prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng has paid a courtesy call on President of Kwahu Traditional council, (Kwahuhene), Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, and his sub-chiefs during this year’s Akwasidae at Abene in the Eastern Region.

Agoo FM news Ebenezer Amoako reports that the Special Prosecutor was accompanied by some dignitaries, clothed in beautifully woven kente on Sunday 31st October, 2021.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kontihene of Abene, Nana Simpe Owiredu III expressed how the Kwahuhene and his people are solidly behind him.

He said Okwahuman is solidly behind the Special Prosecutor to succeed in fighting corruption.

“For coming here to seek power, courage, and anything from the Kwahumanhene is a must because your job as a special prosecutor needs someone who is brave, and the Kwahumanhene is blessing you with all these and any other thing your heart desire” he added.

On his part, the Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyabeng entreated the chiefs to correct him whenever he goes wrong adding that it is hard for people to see their own mistakes.

The Kwahuhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng, welcomed the special prosecutor officially and congratulated him on his appointment. He expressed his appreciation to the President of Ghana His Excellency Akuffo Addo for choosing Kwahu’s very own as the special prosecutor.

He further pledged and threw his support to the Special Prosecutor in performing his duties as.

He went on to caution the special prosecutor not to play favoritism in his work, but rather be fair to all manner of persons.

The Okwahumanhene promised not to let the relationship that exists between himself and the special prosecutor become a hindrance for the special prosecutor in performing his duties.

He urged him to fulfill his duties to please the country at large.
