The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth wing say it will start a crusade on “youth revolution of the conscience” by November to mobilize for change in the country.

“If we don’t organize for change in this country, things will be extremely difficult for us in the near future to salvage the economy”, the  National Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reiterated.

In an interaction with sit-in host Yaa Serwaa Akoto on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.3 FM Monday, Awuku intimated that the country is literally running into a ditch, insisting that it behoves the youth to be firm and garner for massive change in the country.

“The Ghanaian dream for the youth of our country has become  a Ghanaian nightmare. The system led by President Mahama has failed the youth of our country, that is why we’re calling on the youth that they should demonstrate this anger by mobilising massively for change come 2016 elections. We should all make sure we put the final full stop on November 7 next year.”

He was speaking in commemoration of the 10th  African Youth Day Celebration that falls on November 1, every year.

African Youth Day is a day set aside every year to promote the increased recognition of youth as key agents for social change, economic growth and sustainable development in all facets of African Society.

It is an occasion to celebrate the youth on the continent, opportunity to contribute and channel youth motivation, energy and creativity towards the achievement of Youth African agenda.
