The Ministry of Youth and Sports has summoned leadership of the Ghana Football Association to an emergency meeting following an abysmal performance at the AFCON 2021 tournament in Cameroon.
The GFA officials are to appear before the Ministry to explain why the Black Stars performed abysmally and failed to progress beyond the group stage of the tournament.
The Black Stars of Ghana finished last on the table in the group with only one point out of a maximum 9 points which were up for grabs.
The team suffered defeats against Morocco and Comoros respectively and drew with Gabon.
Ghana exited the tournament at the group stage for the first time in fourteen years.
