An accidental discharge of a gun has left a prison officer wounded in the leg.
The officer whose name is not immediately known is part of the team of prison officers who brought the 4 persons standing trial for unlawful kidnapping of Canadian ladies.
According to EIB Network’s Court Correspondent Murtala Inusah, the officer is currently at the Judicial Service clinic of the Law Court Complex receiving treatment.
The court manager has disclosed that officers of the Ministry Police Station have been contacted over the incident.
